Defensive Driving Requirements
When you are issued a traffic ticket in Oklahoma, there are many things that may run through your mind, one of which being, "How can I dismiss this ticket?" The way to dismiss your traffic violation is by completing an approved defensive driving program, such as Oklahoma Driver Improvement!
Before you start a driver safety course, however, you will always want to make sure that you are eligible for the program and meet all the necessary defensive driving requirements. There are three (3) main key points that will make you eligible for taking a driver improvement course in Oklahoma:
- You must have a valid non-commercial driver's license.
- You must have not taken an approved Oklahoma defensive driving course within the past two (2) years.
- You should have at least two (2) points on your driving record, if you need the course for point reduction.
If you do not meet all of the defensive driving requirements listed above, please speak to your issuing courthouse in Oklahoma to make sure you are granted permission to take an Oklahoma driver improvement program. For those who do not meet the above-listed defensive driving requirements, but an Oklahoma courthouse made it necessary for you to partake in a defensive driving course, you are eligible for the program.
To get started, all you need to do is Register! Oklahoma Driver Improvement is an Approved Defensive Driving course by over 100 courthouses across the state.
